On this last day of Hanukkah I praise God for the Feast of Tabernacles! I have been saved (Passover), freed from sin (Unleavened Bread), baptized and saved from death (Day of the Sheaf Offering), proposed to (Shavuot), witnessed my bridegrooms' return (Yom Teruah), and been covered over by my husbands tallit (Yom Kippur). Now what? Now is the time of rejoicing. Now I get to dwell with my Bridegroom. I sit down at the table of the wedding feast and realize that I will never again be parted from the lover of my soul!
What I saw as I painted:
There is nothing left but joy! The road of life is hard but here is where it ends. The burdens have been removed; the barriers are gone. On this day I will sit at the wedding feast of the Lamb, my husband, my Lord. Come quickly Lord! We wait for this day with eager anticipation.
