This painting was inspired by the burdens we carry. In prayer, I saw this picture of how easily we can all become weighed down with a heavy yoke. Buckets attached to the yoke are filled with rocks, the things that we pick up along the pathway of life: fear of man, fear of failure, self-image, even care for our friends and family, etc… I hear the Lord say, ‘My yoke is easy and My burden is light. I came and died in order to take up these burdens that were never meant for you to carry. Will you hand them over to Me? Will you let go? Your job is to walk with Me, but I’ll do the heavy lifting.”
