Generational bondage is real. We have learned and inherited many of our sinful habits, vices, and fears from previous generations and we have great potential to pass them on to the next. Despite this, God is faithful! If we are willing to take His hand and intentionally step out of this line of slavery, He is faithful to break our bonds. Doing so not only frees ourselves, but those who come from and through us, to a thousand generations of those who love Him and guard His commands.

Have you asked God what the generational strongholds are in your own family. Some strongholds I’ve personally prayed over are Control, manipulation and a spirit of Hiding. Often we use the excuses of personality or family culture instead of pursuing freedom. It isn’t easy to pray into this things, but receiving Gods forgiveness and restoration is the work of life and will change you and your family forever.
