Some days my reserves of mercy and grace seem extremely limited. I asked God why and He gave me this image. I saw a tidepool that was murky and muddy. Abba told me: “This is your supply of mercy. Your reserves are limited, tainted and quickly depleted. Now look up!” I raised my eyes and saw the ocean. Vast, endless and glistening. “This is MY supply,” Abba told me. "You have been drawing from the wrong source. Draw your strength, grace, mercy and forgiveness from My supply. It will never run out and can never be tainted.” Now, in times of need, I picture myself standing on the rocks above my tidepool. I ask God for help and I picture His waves of mercy washing over, drenching, refreshing, and replenishing me.

Sometimes my prayer is, Abba, please hit me with a wave of mercy. Take a few minutes to picture yourself on those rocks. Picture and feel yourself being hit with a wave of mercy. Imagine it washing over you head to toe. Then thank Abba for His vast unending supply.
