The return of the bridegroom is at hand! Now is the time. Now, hearing the shofar in my mind, my thoughts jump to excitement. How long have I been waiting for His coming? Now I will get to see the face of the one I love! What will His face reveal? Will it be pure joy or will I see disappointment over the ways I have forgotten Him? Will it show traces of hurt and pain from my neglect? What does pure love look like? Oh the joy, fear, and trembling of this day. Lord give me strength to prepare and see myself clearly. My greatest desire is to see Your face and be in Your presence.
