This painting was inspired through prayer for an individual coming out of an abusive situation. The Scripture that came to many of us was Psalm 91. This image is what God gave me. There is a secret place where those who know Messiah can escape to in prayer. I see us being covered by His wings as we bring our fears, joys, sadness and grieving to Him. It is in this place of honesty and vulnerability that He allows us to experience His comfort, peace, love and understanding. Remember to take refuge in the secret place of the Most High!

Entering the secret place takes intentionality. Picture His wings over and around you, blocking out everything else. Surrounded and protected, pour out your heart to Him. Share your heartache, fears and even your anger. He holds this space for you and will be your guard and comforter.
